Adobe InDesign/Page numbers in exported PDF

Question
Hi,

I'm exporting a document from InDesign where I have the page numbers and title set up in master pages - but when I open the PDF the page numbers only appear on odd numbered pages. The even pages are missing page numbers and the title but show the other items that are in the master - like the gradient box.  Not sure if it's my settings when exporting or if my master page is set up wrong. It looks completely fine in InDesign and I think I have my master pages set up properly, but this is my first time really using them so maybe not. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Skye

Answer
Hi Skye,

By default, items on the master page are behind items placed on the actual page, if you have any boxes that contain fills or images you'll have to manually place the page numbers on those pages and arrange them so they are on the top layer.
Another thing to check is to make sure each page number is in it's own text frame. In other words, don't put both page numbers in one text frame that runs across both pages.
Check under the attributes palette and make sure that the text frame is not marked "Non-printing"
Make sure you've checked "Facing Pages".

Hope this helps,
