Question
Hello,

I have been using the same program for two years and have never had a problem converting indesign cs4 documents to a pdf for viewing and sending to clients. Today when I was working on some ads and trying to create a pdf, the document keeps getting sent to photoshop. All of my files that i am trying to save as a pdf are converting to photoshop files instead. I am going crazy I can't figure out why this is happening!

Answer
Hi Sarah,

When creating pdf files out of InDesign, use the Export command under the File menu. In the dialog box make sure Adobe PDF is selected for the Format.

Once you have created a pdf, control click or right click on it and make sure you select Open With... Acrobat. You can open pdf files in Photoshop but they may be rasterized in the process.

Hope this helps,
