Hi,

How do you export a pdf with the bitmap contents.
Inotherwards the text and other graphics are changed into a single image after exporting.

When you export, how does indesign rasterize the contents of the page?

This means that you cannot even copy or edit or even adjust the pdf contents easily say using the select tool in acrobat.

Thank you.

Answer
Hello,

By default InDesign keeps vector images as vectors unless you tell it to do otherwise because bitmap images take up more room.

Unless you make pdf's compatible with Acrobat 4 (pdf1.4) or earlier and have your Flattener preset set to 100% rasterize, you can't make an all bitmap pdf out of InDesign.

Pdf's from Photoshop are all bitmap but you can open them in Photoshop and the layers are still retained so you can edit in Photoshop.

Hope this helps,

Adobe InDesign
