Adobe InDesign/Breaking a graphic link

Question
Basically can this manually be done within InDesign?

I have a file where a graphic has been taken out of the document, but is still showing the name in the links palette, and tries to re-link it everytime I open the file. As I do not have the picture any more, I want to be able to get rid of its name within the palette to stop it trying to link all the time.

Answer
not really.

it's doing that, as you know, becuase you don't have that file.  It's going to do that until you fix the problem.

The only thing that you can do is see if you can find that art again and fix the link.  Or, if its a small file, you can cut an paste it in.  This will imbed the file and you won't have a link option.
