Adobe InDesign/Creating custom numbered lists

Question
I'm trying to create a paragraph style for a custom numbered list. The number is actually a placed image (a coloured circle containing the number). I want the graphic to align flush left with the text frame. Then I want the first line of text to indent about 5 mm. The second line needs to line up under the first. Is there any way I can do this?
The closest thing I can get is by creating a regular paragraph style with a Left Indent of 10mm and a First Line Indent of -8mm.
The lines of text almost line up, but the graphic is indented slightly.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Answer
you seem to be in the right track.  just highlight your text, then in the formatting bar, switch your tool bars (click the button that looks like a paragraph symbol).  the first option the left, the one that has a bold looking line and some small lines over it, put your numbers in that. This will move your paragraph to the amount you need (i don't know 5mm, i think that might be .5?)
