Adobe InDesign/InDesign Importing
Expert: Candice Anderson - 9/26/2006
QuestionHello.
I have been making a fairly extensive book in InDesign CS. I've
had no problems importing images untill now. I have some
graphics I had to produce in Photoshop, (they are line drawings
and barcodes) and then when I went to import them in, they
come out Choppy, pixelated, smushed. Just not clear. I have so
far: Checked the DPI (they are all at 300), made sure that they
we're in CMYK, I have tried flattening, restarting, using a
transparent background, jpeg, psd, png... and eps. None of
these work. The eps file however, was the most clear, you could
indeed see the whole line, but it wasnt nearly crisp enough for
print.
Can you help? are there things Im not looking for the right way?
thanks.,
Answerhello,
right click (or control click) and go to the last thing, display i think it says. Click on Hi resolution
you are working in a layout program which tries to use as little space as possible. Therefore, unless you tell it to, the pictures will look terrible on screen. If you were to export is as a .pdf, you'll noticed that it will fix.
