Adobe InDesign/InDesign back saving

Question
I am using InDesign 4.0 and I need to send files to an editor who is on an earlier
version - InDesign 3.0. He can't get my files to read... is it possible for me to
back-save to 3.0? We both use Macs OSX.

Answer
You mean you have CS2 and he has CS1, yes?

go to file
export
save as an indesign interchange
now he can see it

note: if you have have gradients, shadows or tranpariencies, he will not able to see them, or see them well.

don't forget to package your files so he can see/edit.
(file, package)

if he really doesn't need to change anything, just view it, save yourself the trouble and save as a .pdf.
