I used the rectangle tool to draw a long white rectangle. I want it to start out being solid white then go to transparent to blend into the graphic behind it. I tried using the gradient tool but it doesnt blend well. Is there anyway to simply blend from a solid color to almost transparent?
Answer -
not in indesign.
the gradient you need is in photoshop. do it there and bring it into indesign.
Answerwhat you would do is draw a rectangle with the marquee tool (looks like a square) and then go to you gradient and choose the one that looks like its black and fades into a checker board. I'm thinking this is what you want. you can change the color in the gradient menu bar.
