Adobe InDesign/Printing

QuestionWhen I print a document in InDesign, no matter how much I change
the margins, page setup, bleed marks, etc., I always end up with
white edges around the document. I don't want those there when I
print. How do I completely get rid of those white edges when it
prints?
AnswerYou're printing from your personal printer yes?
It's not the job, its the printer. Printer's margins do not go out all the way. The white boarder is there because (excuse my non tech words :) ) The printer ink roller does not roll all the way to the end. Some printers give you the option to have a print job with boarderless printing. Go to your print setup and see if you have this option. If not, take it to printer (kinkos will do).
If you do take it to Kinkos, they will want a bleed - this is when your work goes all the way to the end. What you need to do is go to file, document setup. where it says bleed, put .125 on all of the lines. Move your work out to the red lines on your document.
then do file, export. save it as something. then where it says marks and bleeds, check the crop and bleed marks button. Where it says bleed marks, check that and put the number .125 on all of the lines. It is now ready for print.
