Adobe InDesign/Printing books in InDesign

QuestionHi Candace.
I have a working knowledge of InDesign, but have usually conceeded in doing the page imposition manually. But I am trying to create a double sided half-page book (approx 20 sheets or 80 pages)in InDesign, and I know that you can have InDesign do the imposition. I have been printing it as a book, but I get the front cover on the back cover and it prints all of the pages double sided in the first half of the booklet and blanks in second half (even though the spread are set up correctly in the book doc). Any tips, how-tos, recommendations for printing books?
Answeri have no idea...
My guess is that becuase its not a 8.5 by 11, its taking the pages and setting them, then taking the blank parts and then setting them. I don't like the book option for this reason. What you might want to try doing, open your and go to file, Inbooklet SE (or something like that, its in the last few options) what this will do is set your book for print and perhaps fix your problem. If the blanks are still there, try deleting them after words.
another thought: Do you have more than one document in your book? Make sure something hasn't gotten in there.
If not, I say do the way you know. It works :) Cut and paste it out of there.
Candice :)
