Expert: InDesign Pro - 9/18/2007


Question
I have a disc with a brochure produced in QuarkXpress passport v6 but have lost the programme off my pc.  I have been trying to reinstall but the Quark\QuarkXPress6.0\XTension\QuarkPDF.dll. is missing.  I also have in design installed. What would you suggest for me to get the brochure up and running.  Thanks

Hi Louise, thanks for the question.

Well, unfortunately, InDesign can't open any QuarkXPress files created after version 4 (without third-party plug-ins anyway). So you may have to start over with InDesign. If you had a PDF you could import that into InDesign or export the text to re-set in InDesign.

I also have QuarkXPress 7 and wouldn't mind opening your document for you, but it can't be saved back far enough to open in InDesign. Sorry
