Anyway to do it?  I've got a gift certificate in PS, 6-up on 12x18, 1000 total; trying to avoid going the convert to bitmap, use a numbering program route.  They just never look as good as they should.

Answer
set your number to 00000 in whatever font you want.
when you give the file to the printer, give them instructions on how you want the pieces to be numbered.
They now have a numbering program, normally used for tickets and what not.
Call your printer to find out what you need to do to have this correctly set up.
