Adobe InDesign/Trapping in InDesign

QuestionI have type in a book which overlaps a tif. The type over the tif is constantly putting extra trapping on it.I've already gone into the default trapping and put everything to zero. The type and the tif are on two separate layers. Everything is fine on our in-house printers but when it goes out to the digital printer it always comes back wrong. Could it be something the printer is doing? (We need to send a hi res pdf to them).
Answeryes,
if you're traps are all set at 0, then the digital printer needs to be known of the problem so that he can fix it. I would also suggest that you give him the original copy with all the fonts and links. I had this problem a few months ago in which the .pdf would keep trapping. They can't fix that in the .pdf ( I don't think?), but they can adjust what they need to in the orginal. (if they say they can't take the original, it's time to find a new printer).
