Adobe InDesign/Trouble with fonts

Question
I have 2 computers with XP and I use InDesign CS2 + InData on both. I use a barcode true type to generate barcodes.
When I import the data on one of the computers instead of spaces I get non-breaking spaces. Why is it happening on only one computer and how do I replace the non-breaking spaces with regular spaces?

Answer
I would say its becuase Indata is a GSA program and Indesign is not, and fonts don't talk well together when you do this (like word to indesign) but..if one computer is working fine...then you have a font problem.  I would reinstall the font.  That doesn't make sense that one computer works just fine and the other doesn't.
