Adobe InDesign/color shifts in pdf for color copier

Question
I've got an Indesign CS file that I've exported as a pdf (it has a mix of text, jpgs, and photoshop images).  When our copy center prints it, we get some unacceptable color shifts.  I've been doing this for about 3 years with little or no problem, and now we can't solve it. The copy center is using Acrobat 8 to open the file.  My old version of Indesign uses an earlier Adobe version to make the pdf -- is this the problem, or does it lie elsewhere? thank you in advance!!!

Answer
hmm....

That's weird. It could be becuase of your Acrobat, but I'm not sure why it would be doing that.

The only other thing - are you using transparencies, and/or shadows that were made in Indesign? Acrobat doesn't like those two things, and screws up docs that have them.

A quick fix, click the knockout button located in the transparency box. You use this when you don't want colors to be trapped, maybe this would work?
