Adobe Photoshop/Printing true to size

Question
Last night i created the canvas the same size as the paper i intended to print my save the date invitations to (148mmx105mm).  I adjusted the grid spacing to 37mm.  My intention was to put two written invitations symmetrically on the front and and two pictures symmetrically on the reverse and cut them in half after printing.  I changed the printer setup to the card size 148mmx105mm, and everything looked good in the print preview.  However, when i printed the written side, the accuracy which i employed on the design seemed not to be printed.  Both images had moved significantly to the right (Landscape), meaning when the card was cut in half nether where in the centre.  Pls advise

Answer
This is a common mistake, you forgot to take into account your printers image area. Each printer has a gap when printing that is necessary for it to grip paper and print without getting ink on its parts. I would suggest you print an actual grid out on your printer and measure what this gap is (it is usually at the top of the page and can be as much as 0.5cm in some cases. Once you know what this gap is, you can adjust your print on both sides to match.
