Question
How to convert a cmyk picture in only magenta colour.

Answer
Hi Abdulkhaliq,

The conversion from CMYK to a color is pretty much easy to do. This adds a nice effect to your picture, usually its used in creating antique looking styles or pop culture effects.

Now, the first thing you must do is convert you image to grayscale. To do that you must go choose Image > Mode > Grayscale. Ok once you have done this step you must level your image to the brightness you want. You can level your image by choosing Image > Adjustments > Levels. Adjust the levels to your like. Once you are satisfied with this you will need to choose Image > Mode > Duotone. When the window for Duotones open choose Duotone on the TYPE menu. Black should already be in the spot #1 Ink, keep the black in the #1 ink spot. Choose the Magenta on your #2 Ink Color Option. Then look at the image. The image will be in Magenta.

Hope this helps you greatly Abdulkhaliq,

Best Regards,
Dyllian
