Adobe Photoshop/layer styles option box

Question
everytime i try and use layer styles, my screen goes into the mode but no options/adjustment box appears.  i can editing my photo again after hitting escape twice

it worked earlier, but now all of a sudden it's doing this to me.

help me!

Hi Amber,
may be the dialogue box is opening up in a different screen (dual monitor setup).

After opening up the layer styles box press 'alt+Spacebar+X' then without touching any keys... keep pressing 'left arrow' button untill you see it on your screen.
