Adobe Photoshop/merging layers for print

Question
I have designed a poster (100cm x 80cm / 300ppi) which i would like to print. The printers need a flattened tiff file but if i try and flatten the file or merge layers I lose some of the effects. I have tried separating the effects into layers but some of the effects cannot be recreated. I have tried merging layers one at a time but same problem. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Answer
Hi Aadil,

Here is a neat trick - go to the top most layer and type this - shift+cmd+alt+E and it will take a snapshot of your image into a new layer. Then I would try saving the file directly as a tif file - file>save as, then choose tif and uncheck the "layers" option - note this will flatten the image, however, the upper most layer snapshot is what you will see.

Thanks

Kevin
