I am getting this error message when ever I try to use any fonts in CS3; "Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engin from being initialized"
I researched this problem and found that it was a common error. Most of the forums suggested that I remove all fonts installed by CS3, but I can not locate where the CS3 fonts are located. I have looked in the font folder in the control panel in the Vista software I am using but the fonts can not be identified as to if they are Photoshop or not. Please let me know if you are familiar with this proble and how to resolve it.

Hi Carol,

I have not encountered this problem myself, but have heard about it as well as the solution to remove all the CS3 fonts. Frankly, that's a difficult task if you don't have the list of installed fonts (which I don't).

I recommend uninstalling then reinstalling Photoshop. You can save your preferences file if you've made any customization, but I recommend that you just do a clean installation. It may take a while, but this is the best way to get your application running smoothly again.
