Adobe Photoshop/Printing Rectangles in Adobe Pro 6.0

Question
I am trying to highlight areas of scanned newspaper articles by using the rectangle option. The rectangle properties are as follows: Style - Solid, Color - Red, Opacity - 100%, Thickness - 3, Fill Color - None. The rectangle outlines look great on the screen - but nothing comes out when I print. I am printing to a HP 8550C printer.

Not sure what I am missing? Adobe setting or printer issue? Please help. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Mark,

I have Photoshop 7 here and cannot replicate your problem, but here are some suggestions.
In Photoshop 7 the rectangle tool creates a shape, it may be easier to work with the marquee selection tool on it's own layer and apply a stroke to your selection.
Another problem may be the layers, try flattening the file before printing.

Hope this helps,
