Question
Hello

I wanted to know how to get Photoshop to recognise Urdu as a text?

I am trying to cut and paste Urdu text from Word in Photoshop, however when the text is pasted into Photoshop, it is not the same as the Word version.  It almost seems as if the letter have been jumbled around and changed slightly.

Why is this occurring and how do I get Photoshop to recognise the language font??

Many thanks

Answer
Hey Silvia,
Yeah Photoshop does get messy when copying foreign language texts.
Try these tricks
1. After Pasting the text into Photoshop, Try force-selecting the text to urdu font (assuming urdu fonts are installed) in the character palette.

2. Print Screen from word, past it as n image in Photoshop. Delete the white background using magic wand. (Might not make sense, but trust me, people opt this a lot)

3. I found this on the web http://www.summitsoft.co.uk/Products.htm try and see if that helps.

all the best.
Let me know if u still need help
