Question
I am having trouble with opening photos with this program after many years (and OS upgrades) of success.  I am now using XP and have had to remove the program and tried to reinstall because it kept locking up and wouldn't open. though I did work for several months with XP before I began experiencing problems.  When I tried to reinstall it starts to install then quits with no reason...please let me know if the upgrade to XP is my issue and if there is a patch or some way to get up and running again.  Thanks for your time.

Answer
Unfortunately Gale, you have surpassed the life expectancy of this application and upgraded out of compatibility. This is a common issue with old software. It was designed around one operating system (in this case Windows 2000) and by updating your XP it is no longer viable. Adobe is now shifting people towards Photoshop Elements and stopped supporting PhotoDeluxe in 2002.

Being only a $99 program, you should consider buying the new software. You will be much happier with the update.

Thanks

Kevin
