Adobe Photoshop/cropping an image

Question

When I crop an image, the grains and blurriness in the cropped image seem to increase. Any way I can avoid this?

Hi Rj

The only reason I can think of is if your working image is 72dpi and sub-scaled to more than 72, your image will surely "seem to increase" therefore, grains and blur will be seen because of the magnification.

Select the crop tool, you should see some information on the bar at the top, which has the values width, height and resolution below the Window Menu Options. Let me know what those are when you select the area you want to crop.
