QUESTION: Have a beautiful picture but have 3 small signs i would like to take out of the picture....I have the photoshop CS3 Extended....sooo confusing...thanks

ANSWER: Hi JoAnn,

This is a very involved question but I can point you in the right direction. You will use the clone/stamp tool to remove elements. Start by holding option (alt) and clicking the area you want to copy from. Then release the mouse, and move the brush to the area you wish to remove. Click and paint. Think of it as selective copying.

You can read more about it under the help menu, it has section devoted to touching up photos.

Hi JoAnn,

I wish I could fix it for you but if you are in a hurry to understand how to use the clone tool, I would recommend purchase the Adobe Classroom in a Book or Scott Kelby's Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Digital Photographers. Both are a great resource to show you how to remove elements from an existing photo and are available very cheap from Amazon. I use these books as resources for my class.
