Adobe Photoshop/Scratch drive question

Question
Hi! I hope you can tell me how to use my external 500GB HD as the scratch
disk for Photoshop (I am still in CS2), on a Mac OSX. I know where to set the
scratch drives in Prefs, but it does not show up as an option, and there is no
button to browse? I realize they say it 'should' be an internal drive, but this is
what I am working with at the moment. Thanks for any help :)

Answer
Hi Melissa,
external hard disk can be used as a scratch disk.

Connect the hard disk and restart photoshop, it should definitely be shown in the list.

check the drive name assigned by ur computer (D or E.. etc) and make sure you check that in the scratch disk options too.

all da best
