Question
QUESTION: Dear Waqar,
I am a J2EE developer. Lately wanted to enter into web
designing field, first as front end designer and then
backend developer also. Back-end is not really an issue
as i am a programmer.
I have just started taking classes for Photoshop and
following book Adobe Photoshop in a class room. Very
factually speaking, i am not a very creative person,
but i want to learn web designing. Do you think a person
like me who is not very creative can become a good designer?
What are the best tips for learning photoshop?

Best Regards,
Ben

ANSWER: Hi Ben,

Yes any one can become a designer just need some creativity and speciality on any graphics tool. Tips for you,

Just watch samples and other's work try to think creative objects around you and then try to map in adobe. for beginers i simply suggest start with any brochure samples.

Webdesigning is is only game about matching colors with theme, choos perfect color theme is success of design. Once u have developed color theme then you can easly get other stuff such as images, fonts and etc.

Hope its clear for you..
Thank You,

QUESTION: Waqar,
Thanks for your timely response. Actually, i am following
the book, Adobe Photoshop class room in a Book, but seems like somtimes, this book is written in a very high level way, not for the beginner. I have reached up its lesson Vector drawing techniques, but i feel highly confused. I don't know from where to begin practising, which things to focuss at first. The more i study, the more i am getting confused, like where to apply the knowledge already learned like till Masks and channels, am i going too fast? I am totally confused and stucked. What should i do in such a situation?

Best Regards,
Beenish

Answer
hi Ben,

Well i suggest you to start making brochures of any institutes which shows simple course catalog, and i recommend you to play first with all tools and filters then you will have great fun with it. No you are not going fast but you are fully loaded.

Remember overflow is not good thing :) kidding... just practice to make simple web designs map your ideas in adobe canvas.

Hope it works!
