Subject: Shrinking a PDF document from large to small

Question
Hi,

I have a Photoshop document that I created from a PSD and saved it was a PDF.  It is very large, it is 32 pages of photos and lots of color and it is around 118 MB.  I was wondering now that it is saved as a PDF, how can I get it downsized to a smaller file size so I can send it through the e-mail?

Our server here at work basically doesn't send that big of a file size, and I need to know the answer for future use.

Please help me.  I need to know how to downsize the total 32 page document.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Mariann

Answer
Hi Mariann,

There is an effective way of doing this using your Acrobat Reader, open the file you have saved as PDF on you Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat. Next go to the file menu and select "Reduce File Size" or "Reduce Size" - click on that, and then select a version of acrobat lower of that which you have. Once selected, click on the file menu once again, click on "Save As" and when propted to save in the same name, rename the file as your file name 2. This should be dramatically reduced in file size.

Let me know if this helps.

Regards,
Dyllian
