Adobe Photoshop/Movie Maker Software

Question
Hi Scott, I have photoshop elements and am a enthusiastic beginner.  I would like to know what would be a good software for me to buy to put my photos on slideshow/movie. I'm looking for something somewhere in the beginning to middle learning curve. I have a Dell PC and am looking for something that might similar to Apples IPHOTO but have more transitions, special effects.  There is so much out there that it is so confusing.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

Answer
Hi Sandy,

The two applications I'd recommend are Picasa (http://picasa.com) or ACDSee (http://acdsee.com). Picasa is free, and ACDSee ranges from $30 - $50 depending on version and whether there's a sale on. Both have some functionality for slide shows. I've used both and like them very much, though Picasa seems to be a little more stable and ACDSee has more features. I believe you can get a trial for ACDSee, and Picasa doesn't cost anything so try both.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have further questions.
