Question

Titled August
I have created collage 4 x 6 photo pages for an album that I create in Photoshop 7.0. I save as jpeg files and take to W*M to have printed. Machine tells me "image not available though. I have been saving three pages to a 8.5 x 11 page and taking to Office Max to have printed, but it would be so much easier to just have the 4 x 6s printed at W*M. Why does the machine not open these jpegs? Is there another way to attack it? I have tried flatteneing images first and then saving as jpegs, but that does not work either. Can you help me print at W*M? Isn't a jpeg a jpeg?? Even if it didn't originate on my digital camera?

Answer
what?

Is W*M...Wal-Mart?

Either way, why are you making this process hard on yourself? And Wal-Mart's machines suck. It's a photomachine, not a printer. I don't know why it wouldn't be printing, except that the file might be too big...and it's not an ordinary printer.

I highly suggest going to a local printer. If you can't find a local printer, go to Kinkos. I think it's cheaper this way as well.

If you are going for that high gloss look, and your local printers/kinkos doesn't have the paper, then try Ritz Camaera. I know some of the shops do this.
