QuestionI'm trying to do some tutorials and the book says before beginning to save the initial preferences file so that I can restore any custom settings when I am done with the tutorials. The problem is that I cannot find the settings file. I've done searches to no avail. I just loaded Photoshop today, so I did a search with today's date. Please advise. Thanks so much.
Answerbecause you just got photoshop, you have nothing to save. So, you can just start using photoshop :)
In order to save preferences, you have to save them in different places. For example, if you like a color palette you made, you have to save it through the color palette. If you like a brush palette you made, you have to save it through that palette. If you like the workstation, you have to save that through a different way. You can't just save all of your changes. The book will (hopefully) show you how to do this as you go through it.
And I think you're looking for something that doesn't exist. :)
