Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop file will not open

Question
I have a Photoshop CS3 I have been working on yesterday and when I try to open
it back up today it will not open and says could not complete your request
because file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop. Is it damaged?
Any tips on how to open it?

Hi Jerry,

After restarting your computer eject all removable disks, CD's and DVD's and then try opening the file.
