Hi. For the life of me, I cannot figure this out! please help:
My coworkers and I use a PS action that I wrote which takes 1 image, prompts
the user to crop it, unsharpens the mask, exports it, and asks "Save As." The
action continues when that same crop is reduced in size several times, each
time unsharpening the mask, exporting, and asking "Save As."
We go through dozens of images per day, and we always need the same
prefixes for our images (i.e. 375_filename.jpg, 305_filename.jpg).

I cannot figure out how to incorporate a step into my action which will
automatically add specific prefixes (375_, 305_, 275_, etc) at specific points
in the action (for specific crops) of the same image.

Hi Chris,

You will have to run these in batches of the same size crops in order to add the prefix to the file name. You should use the File>Automate>Batch settings to add the prefix. (Choose a destination folder to activate the save command at the bottom, then choose "Three digit number+File Name+Extension".


That should do it.
