Adobe Photoshop/pdf documents
Expert: Candice Anderson - 9/30/2008
QuestionHi,
I have PS7 and I have 10 psd files, which I have saved as pdfs, that I have been working on, changing fonts, colors etc. and I need to have them ordered correctly to send an attachment for clients in an e-mail, where it comes up in an Adobe Reader document. I have tested one of the pages and it comes through ok, just need to have all 10 so as they can arrow through each page. I go to Automate, but the choices given don't seem to want to put them in order and all together. Any suggestion??
Thanks, Laura
Answerhi,
photoshop is not a layout program, and therefore, you can't make a "book" out of your documents. (you can't have additional pages in one project). So you can make a folder with all 10 documents in them - in order
or...
download a copy of indesign cs3 from adobe.com (free trial, 30 days)
place the files in order indesign
export.
how to do this:
file, new
make the size of your document and 10 pages
press ok
on the first page, go to file, place
find your file
place it on there ;)
do this for each document
when done
file, save
then save :)
file, export
save it as a .pdf
done.
and the cool thing about it is that you can edit your files in photoshop, like you normally do and the files will automatically update next time you want to export.
now, you might want to buy the program eventually if you are a graphic artist. If you are not, I believe there are some open source softwares out there that can do this. But I'd suggest getting something if you plan on doing this again.
