I will have a number of images open on CS2. I wish to save and close them all automatically to an empty folder via an action (which I am capable of creating). But I cannot preselect the folder that the images will be saved to.  Is there a way to pre-select an EMPTY folder before running the action? Normally you can only set a folder as default once a file has been opened from this folder. But I wish to have an empty folder already selected so that all my images will be saved to this folder using the action.

This action will be run at different times and using different empty folders

Hi Barry,

When you Batch Automate your actions, you can then designate any folder you wish at that time, but not before (ie while recording an action). Go to file>automate>batch and test run your action and then choose the save & close option and select the destination folder.

However, you are are just opening and resaving to another folder, you can do this a lot easier in Bridge via the Batch Rename option under the "tools" menu. Just direct Bridge to where your original files are, run the Batch Rename and direct it to your empty folder. No actions  necessary.
