Adobe Photoshop/Problem opening saved jpg images

Question
Hello,

I have a problem reopening jpg or tif files in CS3. After editing and saving, then trying to reopen I get "Cannot complete your request because of a programing error." I make sure the extention matches the drop down menu when saving. The file opens fine in Win Picture viewer, but not in CS3. This is only on my desktop. My laptop still works fine. Please help! Kirk

Answer
Hi Kirk

I've heard of this problem in CS2 where it was a meta-data problem.
The solution was to select all, copy>merged, file>new and paste then save. This would strip out the outlaw meta data.
In CS3 it may be a corrupted file on your desktop. Try a font utility to weed out any corrupt fonts, re-install your printer drivers or re-install Photoshop.

Hope this helps,
