Adobe Photoshop/photoshop elements 7

Question
I am trying to select two items at once with the elliptical tool.  I'd like to then change the background (I know how to "inverse").  However, after I select one item, I can't select the second item with out the first elliptical selection disappearing.  thanks for your reply!

Answer
Make your first selection, then hold the SHIFT key down and make your section selection.

If that doesn't work, try the CTRL key. It's one of the two of those. :)
