Question
I am having a problem with printing.  I have a Canon photo printer but when I print pictures that I have stored in Adobe Photoshop, they come out very dull.  The color is just very light.  If I export them to another program (Broderbund Print shop Delux) I can print the pictures just fine.  I have tried to adjust the photo quality in the Adobe program, as well as adjust the levels on the printer.  Can you help me.  Please be kind-I am not very literate when it comes to technology!

It sounds to me like you need to make some color profile adjustments in Photoshop.

Depending on your system and version of Photoshop, these pdf's will step you through the procedure for setting your color profile in Photoshop for viewing images and printing with your printer's profile. They are well written and contain many screen shots for illustration.
You should also consult your systems monitor control panel and calibrate your monitor.

Although it sounds complicated, once the settings are made you should have pleasing, consistent results from your printer. If I can help clarify any issues that may arise, please feel free to contact me again.
