Adobe Photoshop/Magic Wand

Question
Hi there

My question is concerning the "magic wand" tool in photoshop.
Here is my issue - I am trying to select a specific part in a picture, using the magic wand, up till now it all worked fine.
When I am trying to do it now, it just selects the whole picture, and not a specific area.
It is quite frustrating since now I have to use the other selection tools, which halts my work and makes it very slow and difficult.

I am sure that it is just a simple thing, but still, I would really appreciate your assistance on the issue.

Thanks in advance

Answer

Magic Wand Options
Hi Roi,
after you select the magic wand tool.
In the top under the menu bar. There's another bar with the magic wand settings. (see attached image.)

In there just check if all the settings are normal.
Like the Tolerance default is 32
and then see that "sample all layers" is unchecked.
this should fix the problem.
let me know if u need further assistance.

(P.s: sometime even when the quick mask is enabled you get this problem. just check that its not enabled. shortcut 'Q')
