Question
Hi
Happy Holidays!
I have some digital pix I would like to resize to fit specific frames. I have tried to resize the photo, but it is usually by pixels and not by height and width. Can you help? My frame is 4 x 4.
Thank you!

Answer
Hi Debra,

I work with Photoshop so I hope these suggestions work with Elements as well.

In Preferences you can set the measurement used for the rulers in your Photoshop files, Go to preferences>Units & Rulers. When you select the crop tool you can input a width and height. If you put the same number in for each, it will constrain your crop to a square. Once you have cropped your image square you go to Image>Image Size. At the top of the dialog box is the image dimensions in pixels but in the lower half you can set the units to percent, inches, cm, picas, etc. Here is where you can set the size to be 4 x 4.

Hope this helps,

Happy Holidays,
