Question
I read your answer to someone's question about the fact that CS4 does not have the extract filter anymore. I went to the link you provided. and downloanded the plugins. after downloading it i opened the file that went to Goodies, opened that file, then opened optional plug-ins, then opened filters, then opened ExtractPlus.plugin. I double clicked on the file and photoshop popped open and said it could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file. Soooo my question is, how do i make it work? how do i get the extract filter in photoshop and working. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Robin,

It sounds like you are using Mac. If so, the instructions can be found in the Optional Plug-ins folder as a PDF file. This PDF has some good information, but the summary is that you need to copy the .plugin files you want to install, and paste them into the Adobe Photoshop CS4 / Plugins folder, then restart Photoshop. In the case of the ExtractPlus extension, you need to place it in the Plugins / Filters folder, then restart.

I hope that helps!
