Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop to PDF

Question
Hello.

I have Photoshop version 7.0 and I would like to transfer a scanning image from Photoshop to a PDF file via email. How can I do it?

Best regards,

Mike

Answer
Hi Mike,

Open your image and go to File>Save As... In the dialog window select Photoshop PDF from the popup menu after Format. You can choose zip compression to retain image quality or JPEG compression. The lower number in JPEG compression means more loss of quality of your image but will result in smaller file size.

If the image is still too big for e-mail I would suggest going to File>Save For Web... with your original image open. This will open a copy of your image and optimize it for the web and e-mail. In the lower left corner you'll see the size and estimated upload time. For photographic images I would stick to the png or jpeg settings. GIF works better with logos or clip art type images. After saving, close the original and open the new small file and Save as a pdf as before.

Hope this helps,
