Adobe Photoshop/combining photos

Question
I have 2 separate photos/files how can I take all or part of an image from photo 2 and combine it to photo 1? Kind of like two landscape photos and combining them to 1 long one.

Answer
Hi Gary,

Go to Image>Canvas size and increase the width of image one by a factor of 2. Move the proxy icon from the center square to one on the left or right, depending on where you want to place the second image.
Select the second image, Select all and copy. Paste it on the first image on it's own layer. When you are done editing the layers save a copy and go to Layers>Flatten All Layers to save it as a tif or jpg.

Hope this helps,

Happy Holidays,
