Adobe Photoshop/Images

Question
I have 500 or so images in folder A. I want to transfer these images to folder B and carry three operations on them:-

1.) Change their resolution to 256*256 pixels.

2.) Convert all images to grayscale

3.) Rename them

And I don't want to do it all manually. I need to do it automatically - tell me how to do it?

thanks

Answer
Hi Kerry,

First record an action on an open image, change the resolution, change the mode and type in the name you want. Save the action.

Go to Automate and select batch .
Select source = folder A
Action = the one you just created.
Destination = Folder B
Add a number to the name or they will all overwrite each other, or you can put a stop in there to manually name them during the batch processing.

Hope this helps,
