Adobe Photoshop/Trial version on PC

Question
I have used photoshop for years on my mac, which has been broken in a recent move.  I am having to use my husband's PC to do some business cards for some friends.  None of his programs are any good, so I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop. All the photos I place are pixelated?!  Is this on purpose because it's a trial version or am I doing something wrong.  I haven't used my mac in about 6 months, but have never had this problem before.  Can you help?

Answer
hmm...

I've never heard of this problem, but will try my best.

OK, easy questions first
Did you expand them in anyway (you can't do that)
What did they look like before the broken mac.
Are you placing them in Indesign? Or Photoshop?
Are you placing the photos if you are placing them in photoshop, in a higher resolution document?
Did you get them from the internet?
Are the photos truly pixelated, or do they look like they more corrupt?
Again, I know these are silly, just trying to make sure I can give you a really good guess.

Trial versions shouldn't do this. They are set to work like normal until  30 days and then it just doesn't work.
