Question
I'm trying to make these words (Celebrating 30 Years) in Photoshop 7.0.  I would like each word to look like a blue shiny ribbon.
Can you tell me the easiest way to do this???

Answer
Hi Charman,

There are many ways to do this and it depends a lot on your typeface selection. Basically you should set your type, duplicate the layer and in the layer copy, convert to shape from the layer menu. This will give you the text as a shape that you can manipulate with various filters and effects to achieve a ribbon look. The ribbon look is a series of uneven gradients to give your text a satiny look.
Try following these tutorials:

They will show you how to make a ribbon out of a shape.

Hope this helps,
