i am very much interested in having this software- i think its the cs4 version. i am involved as an ammateur photographer in designing and adding effects to pictures and so would greatly appreciate ur help in downloading the freeware version of this software. can u please send me the link or the file that i can download to my harddrive

Hi Devindra,

Photoshop is licensed by Adobe and is quite expensive. You can get it bundled with other applications as part of their Creative Suites or get a less expensive version called Photoshop Elements.
There is also a photo editing open source program called GIMP available here:
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
Open source programs are distributed for free and have limited support.
