Adobe Photoshop/shuts down when saving scanned image

Question
I am working with Adobe Photoshop 7.0 on a Mac running version 10.4.11
scanning with a Canon Pixma MP160. I am scanning thru Adobe then saving to
my hard drive. At every 3rd document, Adobe shuts down unexpectedly while
trying to save the scanned document. Can you help me?
My guess is that you have a new printer/scanner on a old old photoshop running on a fairly new OS. And/or you're not updated.
Update your drivers, your photoshop, and your mac. This will probably do it. You might want to consider going to at least CS2. I love 7 but 7 was built for a smaller monster of a computer.
