Question I am (rustily) recreating a 2 spot colour logo in Pshop - going thru' the
process of selecting the green area>creating an alpha channel>filling
selection area with black etc. All the while I notice that the pantone swatch
library is greyed out and I cannot select a pantone colour... is this normal?
should I be able to select a spot colour palette/swatch during this process? I
will save the finished file as a DCS2 for the print house - but why is this
palette unavailable? Am I missing something? Thanks, Gee
Answer Hi Gee,
To make a two spot color photoshop document you have to be in multi-channel mode and select each channels color using the channel palette. Double click on the channel and then click on the channels swatch to bring up the color picker. The all channel preview will work but the swatches on the tool bar will be grey.
Hope this helps and I'm sorry for the delay,
Glen Demers
