Hi,

I'm simply trying to drag jpg photos into web banners I'm creating using Photoshop, and for I don't seem to be able to simply click on the layer in photo shop, and then drag the photo into it. What's really strange to me, is that I WAS able to do this exact task on an older iMac - 03 (I'm now on a brand new iMac with OS 10.5.7 and cs3) and using cs2 back then. When I did this in the past, I actually was using "Image Ready" which I now understand to be defunct, as Photoshop has now incorporated all those functions simply into the new version of Photoshop 10.

Please let me know if I'm just as idiot doing something wrong? LOL

hi,
is it a gif?
check to see if you color mode is index. if it is, change it to rgb

is it locked?
double click the layer, make it a name

is it locked, but you locked it
take the lock off ;)

that should do it, you could always just make a selection around your item and drag it over that way as well.
